I am a biological anthropologist living in Canada. I completed my PhD in Biological Anthropology at the University of Cambridge in 2018. I also completed my Hon. BSc. at the University of Toronto (2012) and my M.A. at the University of Victoria (2014) in biological anthropology. My current research focuses on the human skeletal components involved in childbirth. I have a biocultural and multidisciplinary approach to my research, that includes considering the influence of development, childbirth practices, diet, activity, physiology and variation in body size and shape. When I’m not working on my research I enjoy film, theatre, food in all its forms, strolling in new cities and petting other people’s pets.

I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto in Canada. I completed my PhD in Biological Anthropology at the University of Cambridge in 2017. My HBSc (2011) and MSc (2013) degrees were both completed at the University of Toronto. I use a range of biological, archaeological, and ecological tools to investigate the relationship between humans and their environments. In particular, I look at how physical activity, body size and shape, and diet interacted with ecological conditions in the past. Outside of my research, I love music, food, all manner of animals, and the joys of the great outdoors.
